Today is the day of the Dead
To our Mexican friends, November 1st is Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead. On this day, they erect altars to remember departed loved ones and to celebrate their lives.
And he went on to trash his pumpkins...
I don't know about you, but it has been tradition in my family to keep the pumpkins out, on display for a long time after halloween. You leave it out until the damn thing rots, damnit!
One time, we had a pumpkin in the living room, and we left it there in the same spot for several months. It wasn't even carved. It was just a pumpkin waiting to get cut open. Well...it never happened because the thing rotted and left a nasty spot on the floor. Let that be a lesson to you kiddies.
And now, after halloween is over, we have a ton of candy that I don't really want to eat, my dad doesn't really want to eat, my mom is diabetic... no one really wants to eat it. But we're going to eat it anyway. And damn.
So what can I say? I don't know. Eh....Boogie Boogie Boogie!
